The story

South America

South America feels like the world turned up to a higher frequency. It is a continent of mythic landscapes and rhythms that get under your skin. The Andes rise like a stone spine along the western edge, sheltering ancient ruins, high-altitude lakes, and cities that touch the sky. The Amazon pours green life across the continent's centre, a rainforest so vast it generates its own weather. In Brazil, the beaches of Rio and the wetlands of the Pantanal share space with the thundering Iguazú Falls and the pulsing energy of Carnival. Argentina stretches from subtropical jungle to the glaciers of Patagonia, from the tango halls of Buenos Aires to the wine country of Mendoza. Everywhere, the cultures of indigenous, European, and African heritage blend into something unmistakably South American. The food is bold, the music is infectious, and the hospitality is generous. To travel here is to surrender to the unexpected: a sudden downpour, a street parade, a mountain appearing through the clouds. South America does not merely host journeys; it shapes them.
