ne of my all-time favorite places in Thailand to reside is Lebua at State Tower, Bangkok’s gift to a wanting traveler. In my over 15 sabbaticals to this East Asian country, it has provided me with exceptional restaurants, satisfying rates, and excellent food. It also houses one of my top 10 favorite eateries in the world, the popular and renowned Breeze.
This restaurant’s culinary greatness will captivate you from the moment you enter its doors, and its staff never deviates from it’s more than exceptional service. Without question, The Breeze should be a high visiting point when in Bangkok.
Employing Executive Chef Sam Pang, undoubtedly no stranger to providing the world with his fused style of Thai cuisine, has only added to this phenomenal restaurant’s impressive choices when appeasing its guests.
My respect is extreme for the more robust vehicle, but a gingering thought remains that the result could be disastrous with a heavier vehicle flipping.
His distinguished career spans 20 plus years and delights visitors across the globe. “I enjoy the opportunity to provide excellent meals internationally from New York to Asia; I’m pleased only when they are,” he expressed to me in an interview at his famed location in Bangkok. His presentations are exquisite and epitomize a style that corners you with class, in a manner that is exclusive to the Breeze’s elite caliber.
As you Emerge from the elevator on the 52nd floor, the friendliest of receptionist will graciously greet you and escort you past a stylish lounging area. You will shortly reach a fantastic well-designed catwalk with flooring that glows, which will undoubtedly light the way to the start of a magnificent evening.
As you proceed inside, an immaculate, well-designed window at the end of the walk is reminiscent of a scene from an old Star Wars feature. Looking through the window will provide a suitable stare through the city’s heart and make it hard to resist a great photo opportunity. A brilliantly lit stairway completes your entry as the proverbial scenic wonder continues.
Exceptional is etched into your mental lexicon as you view one of the two restaurants outside dining areas, with broad city views flaunting massive buildings surrounding an open terrace before you are seated. Your dining begins, and several wait staff members are anxious to support your table at once, maximizing efficiency as you progress to each part of your courses. You will be accommodated without pause and pleased with the professionalism and warm smiles displayed throughout your experience.
Though the menu will provide excellent choices, I implore you to try some of my personal favorites starters; The Wasabi Prawns and Tom Yum Seafood are ideal gateways to an opulent main course.
As for my favorite main dishes, the spicy ‘Kong Po’ Roasted Duck and Grilled Chilean Seabass will tantalize your pallet, and I find them both repetitive choices at most of my visits to the Breeze. Finally, as you enjoy your view while you dine, only allow it to be interrupted by the Chefs’ very own signature dishes, usher in the disk Wok-fried Wagyu Beef Tenderloin & Foie Gras. Also, outstanding main courses.
